A Table Tennis Family

Félix is the son of former French No. 7 Stéphane Lebrun and nephew of ex-world No. 14 Christophe Legoût. His brother Alexis Lebrun is also a top-ranked professional, making the siblings one of the most exciting pairs in world table tennis. Their shared training background and healthy rivalry have accelerated both their careers.

The Penhold Grip — Europe’s Rarity

Félix is the only top European player known for using the penhold grip — a technique popularised by Chinese players. It provides greater wrist mobility and deceptive spin variation, making his serve-and-attack game uniquely difficult to read.

His explosive forehand attacks and inventive service patterns make him one of the sport’s most entertaining stylists. Since Paris 2024, he has worked intensively on physical strength and forehand power, steadily evolving into a more complete player.

“A two-time Olympic medalist before his 18th birthday, pursuing studies via distance learning while competing at the world’s elite level — Félix Lebrun is redefining what a prodigy looks like in modern table tennis.”
